Construction Work Continues
The construction work continues on the new school building for Calvary Christian School. All are hoping that the building will be ready for the new school year.

The 2010-2011 School year at Calvary Christian School has flown by. The students had a wonderful year. Some of the special events in the month of May were the School Picnic/Carnival, Kindergarten Graduation, Awards Program, and Senior Graduation.

Field Trip
For those leaving on the field trip from school, the departure time has been changed to 7:45 AM.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: We are to use the School Group Entrance to Pamplin Park on Duncan Road. A map has been included with the newsletter in the communication envelope. Plan to arrive by 9:30 AM; when you arrive, let them know you are with the Calvary Christian School group. The school will write a check for the admission fee for everyone.
Remember to bring a lunch with you.

We had a delicious Easter Feast last Thursday. Thank you to all the parents, grandparents, and church family for supplying such a great meal.
Joe Corbi Delivery
The Joe Corbi Fundraiser will arrive on Thursday, April 21st around 1:00 PM. Help is needed sorting the orders and getting them ready to send home.

This week we are recognizing our senior, Brittany Crockett. Brittany came to Calvary Christian School in 2009. She has been a teacher’s assistant in the afternoons and has a gift for working with the elementary students.

Mrs. Welsh is coming in on Wednesday afternoons for a time of arts and crafts with the elementary students. She has a paper mache project planned and newspapers are needed for this. Please save your newspapers for this project.
Variety Show
On Thursday, March 3rd at 7:00 PM, CCS will have its annual Variety Show. The Variety Show gives students memorizing speeches, preaching, songs, and art work an opportunity to share their talents with parents, family, and friends. All students preparing for ODACS competition are requested to present their sermon, speech, or music that evening. We also invite any families who would like to share in song to let Mrs. Jensen or Mrs. Turner know. A love offering will be collected that evening to help cover the registration costs for the ODACS Competitions.
